Susan B. Anthony was born as the second child to Lucy Read and Daniel Anthony in Adams, Massachusetts on February 15, 1820. She was born in a traditional Quaker family with high moral compasses and did a lot of community and social service. She had five little siblings. In 1826, her family moved to Battenville, New York where her father became a very influential figure in the community as a cotton farmer. In 1835, Susan B. Anthony became a teacher for little kids at her father's school. She became an activist for equal wages at teaching jobs.
